5AH BATTERY
The 5 Amps Lithium Polymer battery only weighs 270 grams and can be connected to Gerbing’s heated clothing which doesn’t draw more than 6.5 amps (one heated jacket). The max output of the battery is 6.5 Amps. The battery comes with a neoprene belt to store the battery. The latest version of the 5Ah battery has a built in USB-port so you can charge your navigation system, smart phone or your mobile phone.
The battery has a 3 level setting for regulating the heat. If you want to you can use the remote control, which you can hang to your keys. A LED-indicator shows how much power is left in the batteries. The charger will charge the battery in approximately 5 hours. The battery’s life is guaranteed for hundreds of charging cycles.
To connect the heated gloves to the 5Ah battery, you will need a long Y-cable. This Y-cable is a standard item with the 12 volt heated socks. The battery itself has no built in temperature controller. If you use this battery for gloves you can regulate the temperature with the built in push button on the wrist of the gloves. If you use this battery with a jacket liner you will need the Portable Digital Temperature Controller.
The battery will only work when connected to a heated product. When you put the plug of the heated garment in the battery, push for about 2 seconds the “up” button. You will see the digit 1, 2 or 3 apear. This is your power setting. After aproximately 3 seconds the digit will change into 1-9 which shows how much power is left inside the battery.

PAY Attention
- These batteries do not have a built-in temperature controller, so for use in combination with a heated jacket, trousers or socks you need the Gerbing temperature controller.
- Battery life may vary depending on ambient temperature. The battery capacity decreases as it gets colder. At temperatures below 0°C, the capacity will still be +/- 80%.
- To prolong the life of the batteries, keep them charged to a minimum of 25% at all times, even when the batteries are not turned on or not in use. Think of the summer period. Therefore, charge the batteries once a month. (Tip: note this in your agenda).
